19/10/09  :  Derby & District Table Tennis for the over 50s

The Derby Table Tennis Association is initiating 50+ sessions at the Gymnastics Centre (Formerly the Lancaster Sports Centre).  The Association is keen to bring players back into the game, not only for their sake, but possibly to increase the numbers keeping the game alive in all manner of roles.

Table Tennis for the Over 50s
Thursday 5th November begins a 6 week session of table tennis at the Derby Gymnastics Centre (Formerly the Lancaster Sports Centre - top floor above the Chapel Street car park). Starting at 10:30 for 2 hours, for over 50s of any standard to come along and join in friendly games. The fee for these trial weekly sessions is £2. The venue has 3 tables and time between games will be minimal. All you need is suitable footwear as initially rackets will be provided. There is a cafe at the Centre. For more information call Mike on Derby 557162 or just turn up on the day.

It would be useful if some Association players volunteered to come along to smooth things along.
